The work included painting, new closet doors and shelves especially built to fit. An extra job of assembling a large patio umbrella was difficult, but the two men assigned to this project continued the work until completed. If the schedule needed changing, we were notified immediately. Each of the employees was friendly and professional. We are extremely grateful to these folks for taking such good care of us. 5 out of 5 starsPaul did a fantastic job completely renovating our master bathroom. He was a professional from the moment he came to look at the project through its completion. He had to come in after another contractor had jeopardized the integrity of the joists with our master bath being on the second floor, they cut holes in them that were significantly larger than they were supposed to be. Paul worked with a structural engineer to ensure that it would be safe for us to have a complete wet area there. Once he ensured that everything was structurally sound, him and the crews he works with did a great job. He always made sure to communicate when crews would be on-site, and made sure to leave a clean worksite after each work day. He also provided great ideas on placement of fixtures, and what would look best with what we already had. Would absolutely use him again for any major projects that we have in the future with his focus on craftsmanship. 5 out of 5 starsI hired Paul Spencer of Spencer Renovations Inc. to tear down a third of my 1950's home down to the foundation and rebuild it back up to what I have today. He magically transformed my living space to a modern up-to-date kitchen, bathroom, washroom, garage, reroofed and painted the entire house while staying true to my home's period details and architecture. He also constructed a backyard detached entertainment room and deck which he also matched my home. Paul and his team made the entire process seamless as possible. He kept true to the timeline, he monitored all work being done and was on-site when subcontractors were working in my home, and most importantly he delivered everything I envisioned and more within the budget we agreed to. He communicated every phase of the project and he always kept me informed of what to expect. Paul worked with me from project conception to turnkey which took approximately nine months. Construction only began when I was satisfied of what the final product would be. He never rushed me. In the past I've worked with contractors and its rarely been a good experience, but my experience with Paul Spencer was the total opposite. He made sure that what he delivered was what I envisioned. I should also mention this project was complicated by structural, plumbing and electrical challenges, but "no worries" Paul made sure these critical items were kept in check and he monitored his subs to make sure they maintained a high degree of expertise and professionalism. 5 out of 5 starsPaul and his team added an entire 2nd floor addition on our home. We added two bedrooms, a bath and a family loft area which added so much usable space. Paul was easy to work with and the entire process was actually fun. We even threw them some curve balls with ideas we had once they had started the build, and they just rolled with it and made it work. It was a big job, which was started in December, and was mostly finished by March (some items we ordered were delayed due to the pandemic shutdown). The quality of the workmanship is outstanding and we will definitely be working with Paul again in the future. See more See less

5 out of 5 starsAfter two wooden deck replacements in front of our home office, both of which succumbed to the harsh weather, it was time to look for something different. Paul Spencer suggested a flagstone deck. We thought it would be out of our budget but Paul surprised us with the cost (perhaps 50% more than another wood deck, and it will last a LOT longer). The workmanship is excellent, the workmen were both courteous and thorough, including cleaning up and taking the old rotting wood away. We are delighted with the result. Paul does great work and I would recommend him highly for any construction job. We'll certainly be calling him again. See more See less

Mr. Paul Spencer and his team provided us with excellent customer service which included prompt communication and updates on our remodel. Paul helped us recover from a bad situation we were left in with a previous contractor, and made sure our project was prioritized to help us move back into our home. Some of the prices were ridiculously high. We are glad we found Spencer Renovations! Paul is the owner and he was very professional from the beginning of our interaction. His quotes were also very reasonable. He has been in this industry for many years, thus he is very knowledgeable and gave us great insights, tips and suggestions. Throughout the whole process, he and his team kept us in the loop every step of the way. Everyone who worked on our kitchen were very professional. We can tell he is very selective in the people he has on his team. They were all very skillful in their own area like tiling, countertops, carpentry, plumbing etc. We are very happy with our kitchen remodel experience and most importantly-- We finally have our dream kitchen! Despite running into MULTIPLE issues as is typical of construction repairs on older homes, Paul took it in stride and didn’t even come close to gouging us on price. 100% recommended.
